There has recently been a change in the policy on women's role in combat MOSs. I do not understand this. Why do women feel they have to be able to do everything that men do. What do you have to prove ladies? I'm not against women's rights. Women can do most anything men can do. But some things are better left to men. Things like combat and football.
Can women meet the physical standards of combat forces? Yes. Can women shoot, move and communicate as well as men? Yes. We are not impressed. The trivial topics usually brought up in this debate are irrelevant to the realities of war. The subject of this debate is usually childish in the, "If you can do it, I can do it" fashion. One of the debates I saw on CNN about this topic was between a FOUR STAR general and a CNN "analyst". Yes. What the fuck indeed. However, neither one of them mentioned the neurological differences between men and women when reacting to stress. Or the how the difference in chemistry will affect the bond that soldiers in combat units need to survive. Or the basic fact that mixing women in with men would lead to more unwanted child births, rapes and drama than a Maury episode.
Having women combat soldiers is not a REAL issue. It is an issue created by feminist women's rights activists. At no point in history after an epic battle, did the men who fought in that battle look at each other and say, "That would have been a lot easier if we had some women." That is absurd. Why must women insist on doing everything men do? What sense of pride do they gather? Women should be happy about not being in direct fire combat. It fucking sucks! The fact that this made up issue has gathered so much attention shows why our country is now owned by China. We create problems to focus on instead of just focusing on the problems we have. There is no reason to cater to such bullshit. The Army is always trying to evolve, always trying to change. Change and adaption are good in certain areas. Some things are better left untouched. So some women can meet the "standards" of combat units. So what? That doesn't make them needed. If changing something is not going create improvement, but has the definite potential to create a shit field of problems, then why fucking change it. Sifting through all the debates, I have not heard one definitive answer on why we NEED women in combat. Or what women have to bring to table, besides something to prove. There is one question that nobody seems to have the ability to answer. How are women going to make the fighting force more effective and lethal? It seems as if we are just letting them do it so they can do it. Like the parents that got tired of there kid asking to join karate class. The powers that be just gave in.
If women are going to somehow make my job easier, then, by all means, let them. But the fact is that they are only going to complicate things with bullshit that has nothing to do with combat. Bullshit like sexual harassment charges, pregnancies, relationships and periods. Then, when the time comes to go to war, in a direct combat role, they're going to have something to prove. People with something to prove are more likely to place themselves and those around them at risk. And that fucks everybody.
I could research this topic more and write a thirty page report with all the facts and statistics to back up these statements to prove myself. But I don't need to. I've been in the Infantry for over seven years. I've fought in the two biggest conflicts our country has had so far during my lifetime. If you need a second opinion or more facts, then google go fuck yourself and see what comes up.
